Environment and Initiatives

At CompuSoft, we are aware that climate change is happening, and we aim to improve our environmental results. As part of our environmental strategy, we have introduced several measures which you can read about below.

Stay Green with CompuSoft

Stay green with CompuSoft

The CompuSoft booking platform and hosting center is primarily powered by solar energy. We support a positive climate impact by reducing the CO2 footprint - and so do you as a user of our hosting center.

ComuSoft has established a 48 KW hybrid solar system on the roof of our operations center on Fyn. A larger battery bank has also been connected. The solar system is designed to deliver far more power than our entire company consumes, including our hosting center, office operations, and production. The solar system exists of 150 solar panels.

As a solution provider for the hospitality and leisure industry, including many of the largest leisure, sports, and culture facilities in Scandinavia and Germany, we have a responsibility to support sustainability. Since our operations center on Fyn is perfectly situated for utilizing the sun’s rays it makes sense to focus on solar energy.

Our “Clean Booking Certificate” is available as a download. If you use a CompuSoft hosting solution you are welcome to download and use it in your marketing

More green energy to CompuSoft’s operations center with our very own wind turbine.

On 6th of June 2023, CompuSoft reached a new milestone – we hoisted our very own wind turbine.

The installation of the wind turbine is part of CompuSoft’s sustainable plan and ESG profile. With climate changes happening everywhere, the importance to do better is more important than ever. We at CompuSoft want to set the bar high and improve our own environmental results and create a positive change with the help of our green initiatives.

With the existing solar park and battery bank combined with the new turbine connected directly to the power grid Compusoft is secured green energy to the operations center and booking platforms

The turbine is 18 meters high, and each blade is 8 meters which results in a complete height of 26 meters. The wind turbine is placed on CompuSoft address in Søndersø and can be seen from Odensevej, when driving by Søndersø industrial district.

Environmental Award 2023

We are proud to announce that we have won an environmental award!

Each year the Municipality of Nordfyn awards “Miljøprisen” to a company that has made a special effort for the environment in the previous year.

The award is given for CompuSoft’s efforts for sustainable waste sorting and self-sufficient energy consumption.

Energy-saving measures

In our 1000m2 office building, we use only LED lightning. All rooms are equipped with motion sensors that automatically turn off the lights in rooms that are not on use. Our very own Smart Facility CompuMat-system makes sure all lights in the building are automatically switched off when the last person checks out and only switch on again when the first person checks in.

The heat from the server park is reutilized

Our server park services busy companies within the experience industry in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Germany and thus also all their visitors. The enormous amount of traffic on our servers generates a lot of heat which we reutilize to heat up our entire warehouse and our workshop facilities.

Lots of greens and minimal food waste

Every day, our kitchen offers employees and guests healthy dishes with a strong focus on fruits and vegetables. We repackage any left over food into smaller portions that our employees can take home for dinner.

Waste sorting

We sort all our waste according to the Municipality of Nordfyn and the Ministry of Environment of Denmark’s sorting guidelines.

We have set up special waste systems so that our employees can easily hand over waste in the correct container. The waste systems are set up in the workshop, in the warehouse, in the canteen, and in the kitchen as well as in offices. In addition, we have selected a person responsible for advising our employees on how we handle our waste sorting.
