Reading time: < 2 minutes
As part of a larger modernization journey, CompuSoft has successfully upgraded its IT infrastructure with a new virtual platform. The company has transitioned from Microsoft Hyper-V to Proxmox VE, an open-source based virtualization solution that supports both virtual machines and containers.
The implementation was carried out in collaboration with leading IT distributor ALSO A/S and is powered by high-performance Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 V3 servers equipped with AMD EPYC processors. This setup provides a highly scalable, future-proof foundation for CompuSoft’s entire IT operations.
By combining virtualization, software-defined storage and networking, along with container support, the new platform enhances both flexibility and reliability. Proxmox VE offers improved performance, uptime, and streamlined scalability, ensuring CompuSoft can adapt quickly to changing needs.
For a company like CompuSoft—serving campsites and holiday parks with advanced booking systems and IT solutions—having a robust and modern IT backbone is essential. The new environment is designed with security, automation, and growth in mind.
The partnership with ALSO and Lenovo has been key to the project’s success. Lenovo provides the hardware performance and stability, while ALSO ensured a smooth and professional rollout. With this upgrade, CompuSoft is well-prepared for the future of IT operations.
