At Ribe Camping, being a guest should be easy – from booking to departure

Located close to the Wadden Sea, Ribe Camping welcomes more than 120,000 overnight guests every year.

Open year-round, the campsite attracts guests from more than 30 nationalities and is known for its modern facilities, excellent location, and wide range of accommodation options.

Ribe Camping has been named Campsite of the Year at the Danish Camping Awards for three consecutive years – in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

A strong partnership

Ribe Camping has worked with CompuSoft’s booking system for more than 10 years. Throughout this period, the solution has continuously evolved to support daily operations and workflows at reception. As more guests expect to book online quickly and easily – often through international booking platforms – Ribe Camping wanted to strengthen its digital visibility.

To support this, Ribe Camping recently invested in increased exposure across a selection of popular online travel agencies (OTAs), all of which integrate directly with their existing CompuSoft solution.

A desire for expanded visibility and more direct bookings

The decision was first and foremost about being visible where guests are searching.

The owner herself, Anne explains:

”Our guests often tell us that they didn’t know the range of experiences and accommodation options we offer even existed.”

Today, the booking channels act as an extension of the campsite’s existing marketing efforts and help generate additional direct bookings from international guests and first-time visitors.

These are guest segments that would not typically book directly through the campsite’s own website.

CompuSoft’s solution enables Ribe Camping to manage bookings across multiple channels within one central system. This gives them a better overview of daily operations and more time to focus on their guests.

Setting up booking channels requires time and close collaboration

Implementing online booking channels requires planning and close cooperation, as not all channels operate with the same setup, processes, or rules.

Ribe Camping experienced that the implementation and integration process worked best when focusing on one channel at a time.

“It requires commitment. Together with CompuSoft, we worked through one online booking channel (OTA) at a time. Reaching the finish line often requires close dialogue.”

The advice to other campsites “Just get started”

Ribe Camping’s recommendation to other campsites is clear:

“Just get started – even if it’s simply by selling pitches through the channels that are already available within CompuSoft”

With CompuSoft as its technology partner, Ribe Camping can manage administration from one central platform while creating a more seamless experience for both guests and employees.
